Camera and Photo Library Access

The App requests permission to access your device’s camera and photo library solely for the purpose of scanning binary text from images. This functionality is optional and only activated when you choose to use the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature.

Image Data

When you use the scan feature: - Images are temporarily processed to extract binary text - Images are sent to Google Cloud Vision API for text recognition - Images are NOT stored on our servers - Images are NOT shared with any third parties except Google Cloud Vision API for processing - Images are immediately discarded after text extraction is complete

Text Data

  • Binary input and ASCII output are processed locally on your device
  • No text data is transmitted to external servers (except when using the OCR feature)
  • No conversion history is stored or tracked

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to: - Extract binary text from images you choose to scan - Convert binary strings to ASCII text - Provide the core functionality of the application

Third-Party Services

Google Cloud Vision API

When you use the OCR scanning feature, images are processed through Google Cloud Vision API. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for information about how Google processes your data.

Data Storage and Retention

  • No persistent storage: The App does not store any images, conversion history, or personal data
  • Temporary processing only: Images are processed in memory and immediately discarded
  • Local processing: All binary-to-ASCII conversion happens locally on your device

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information during processing. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The App is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

You have the right to: - Deny camera and photo library permissions (the OCR feature will not be available) - Revoke permissions at any time through your device settings - Use the manual input feature without granting any permissions

Permissions Explained

Camera Permission

  • Purpose: Capture photos of binary text for OCR scanning
  • When Used: Only when you tap the “Take Photo” button
  • Data Retention: Photos are not saved or stored

Photo Library Permission

  • Purpose: Select existing images containing binary text for OCR scanning
  • When Used: Only when you tap the “Choose from Library” button
  • Data Retention: Selected images are not copied or stored

No Tracking or Analytics

The App does NOT include: - Analytics tracking - User behavior monitoring - Advertising networks - Location tracking - Device fingerprinting - Cookies or similar tracking technologies
